never surrender to complexity

“The barrier to change is not too little caring; it is too much complexity.”

“To turn caring into action, we need to see a problem, see a solution, and see the impact. But complexity blocks all three steps.”

Never surrender to complexity

– From a recent Bill Gate Speech. Very very well said. I guess Bill would make his philanthropy as successful as his business. Although talking about inequality, I think the ultimate barrier is the limitation and nature of humanity itself.

The hell with such philosophical thinking. That shouldn’t be the start of dealing with complexity. Only gods do that. But it doesn’t matter. NEVER SURRENDER!

back to campus

Cheers!

freedom is the attitude

by tring not to be controlled, one locks oneself tighter. by reaching out from one’s heart, one secures exclusive ownership of his freedom.

go bicycle again!!

one and half years after i’ve come to USA, i finally got on one bicycle again, after my having learned driving and gained a lot of weight. the feeling? fantastic! it’s like i’m free again! free from stationary concrete boxes and mobile metal boxes. breeze by my hair and sunshine on my skin ……

it almost made me forget that i’m sharing the road with speed limit breaking American drivers. a random one of them friendly reminded me that by beeping right behind me and passing me by in my lane in the next second.

well. does the energy saving health improving spirit lifting transportation not have the right of way anymore?

never mind. i simply left the way and went on on the sidewalk. once again i found myself on a way few has traveled.

right?

i thought i had bored anyone who ever bumped into this blog, and thus i bored myself eventually. but this christmas i found one person who showed definite interest in this “system log”: my adviser. “i read it. i can know if you’re doing your job or not.” she says.

o. well. thanks for the feedback:)

but don’t get me wrong, guys. at the eve of 2008 i reviewed my initial goals for this blog. they’re still sound and meaningful to me. it’s just that i put too much restrictions on what i should say here, and, eventually, this place is like a river cut off from the source. it is one finding that changed my mind: one should flow like the water. i now believe this apples to both my life and my writing.

well, that’s it. now, some “lust & caution”.
