Survive in linux 2

when i type help in bash shell, why commands like mkdir are not listed?

how to decompress rar files?

How do apt fina available upgrades with the source list? how do apt get the dependency information?

What is the basic proccess of installing a .deb packet?

need to install gcc… maybe i need a redhat version of linux…

  3. My suggestion:
    1. borrow a book on the usage Linux/Unix from the library and go through it — then you will know the basics. A classic one is The UNIX Programming Environment (Paperback) by Brian W. Kernighan, Rob Pike. However, other ones should be fine too.
    2. If you have other questions, go and grab maver to ask, lol
